Should we address
the traffic issues at the I-5 Interchanges in Downtown Vancouver?
|
Description
|
|
Modify ramps between SR 500 and Interstate Bridge (both north and
south bound) to reduce conflicts caused by high traffic volumes
in weaving and merging sections. |
|
Transportation
Performance
|
- These ramp
improvements would eliminate four problem merging, weaving,
and diverging freeway segments between SR 500, E. 39th Street,
4th Plain, and Mill Plain interchanges. This reduces high-speed
conflict points and improves traffic safety.
- Improves
access to downtown Vancouver by reducing ramp-related congestion
and delay.
- Supports
provision of new southbound off-ramp to E. 6th Street in downtown
Vancouver.
